The Symphonic, Concert and Beginner Bands received Superior ratings from all three judges. In addition, the Concert Band was ranked second in their class receiving "Runner-up in Class," and the Symphonic Band was ranked first receiving "Outstanding in Class."

Flower Mound, TX -- LMS Concert Band makes good!

Congratulations to all of the Concert Band members who went to the UIL Concert & Sight-reading Contest today and earned the Sweepstakes Award! This award requires a Division I ratings on both your stage and sight-reading performances. Outstanding work!

Mrs. Aicher, Mr. Hanna and all band boosters are so proud of your hard work and dedication!

A very special thank you to all of the parents who were there to support us and to all parents who support the Lamar Band throughout the year. We couldn't do it without you!

Alan Hanna, Director

Alan Hanna is in his ninth year as director of the Lamar Middle School Bands in Flower Mound, Texas. Mr. Hanna moved to Lamar from Frisco, Texas where he was director of bands at Pioneer Heritage Middle School. Mr. Hanna began teaching twelve years ago after graduating with a Bachelor of Music Education degree from West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas. Click here for more.
Danielle Aicher, Associate Director

Danielle Aicher is in her fourth year as the Associate Director of Bands at Lamar Middle School. She conducts the Lamar Concert Band and teaches the beginning flutes, oboes, bassoons, and saxophones. She earned her Bachelor of Music Education degree with Summa Cum Laude honors from the University of Houston. Click here for more.
